Every Day I Wanted To Die!

Updated: Sep 10, 2019

Everyday I Wanted To Die! This was my existence for many years. I suffered in silence from Major depression, one of the most common mental disorders in the United States (NIMH, 2016), but the least discussed in our communities. I prayed and prayed, but the voices would say "you are a waste of space", "you might as well save the world the trouble" and end it all. I felt so alone. No one in this world could be as sad as me. So I thought. This is it! Even at my own hands, God would not let it be. His grace and mercy assured that I would NOT be one of the 44,965 Americans who die by suicide each year (ASFP, 2017), and for that, I thank him each and every day since I woke up from that table. In 2015, I shared one night of my experience in Fabulous New Life Vol. 2, but God said, there is more work to do. In 2016, I signed with Swiner Publishing for a 2nd project,

#BeeInspired a literary offering illustrating 8 Steps to Living a Life of Joy. I was MORE than excited! This was my first solo book project, that still reaches many all over the world. Most recently I traveled to Cuba and shared my story and inducted the book into the local University. Many see the glory in what you do, but truly need to hear the story of our overcoming adversity! Being a survivor of a Suicide attempt is just a gift of Gods grace and an opportunity to share with others that life is truly worth living and taking your life is NOT the answer. My desire is that those who suffer as I did discover the gift of God's grace, his unconditional love, and comprehension that WE ALL have a purpose here on earth! What we go through empowers others, but ONLY through the words of our testimony.
